The fabric used to make this pillow is authentic vintage Bogolan indigo cloth from Mali. The cloth is made by weaving long strips which are then sewn together; the whole cloth is then hand dyed in indigo, the deepness of the color depends on how many times the cloth is soaked in the indigo bath.
Because these pillows are made from vintage hand made fabrics, there will be slight imperfections and inconsistencies; this is part of what makes these pillows so special and one-of-a-kind. Each pillow may vary slightly in pattern from the pillow pictured, as they are cut from different sections of the same cloth. We try to photograph any major differences.
