Our bolga baskets are handmade in farming villages in the Bolgatanga region of northern Ghana, and are perhaps the best known of all African baskets.

They are woven from durable elephant grass Each purchase helps provide the farmers and weavers in the region with a sustainable way of living. We love seeing our designs come to life through the skill of our artisans.

The most beautiful, precious, multi-purpose basket

I purchased this as an easter basket, but I cannot name the number of things this has been used for in the last two weeks. It's perfect for imaginative play, attractive toy storage in our main living area, a picnic basket--basically, you name it. This will not be going into our holiday storage. Instead, it'll be out to play year-round.
